About

Terrell Villiers (they/them) is a multidisciplinary visual artist, designer, and producer based in Brooklyn, New York.

Internationally recognized for their vivid and captivating illustrations, Villiers explores the complexities of identity through themes of community, resistance, grief, and spiritual awakening. Their work invites audiences into layered narratives—cycles and illusions that must be unraveled in the search for authenticity. Through evocative imagery, Villiers uplifts fluid, intergenerational, and intersectional embodiments of the Black experience, celebrating autonomy and reflecting the kaleidoscopic realities of Queer existence.

At the core of their practice is a commitment to preservation: honoring and celebrating the legacies of Black queer and trans individuals by amplifying their stories in spaces where their voices have historically been marginalized. Villiers’ work offers an expansive archive—broadening the possibilities for future movements and ensuring these narratives are seen, heard, and remembered.

Their illustrations have been featured by leading brands and institutions including Gucci, Apple, Noir Fever, Vogue Italia, HBO Max, Loro Piana, PAPER, WeTransfer, It’s Nice That!, L'Enchanteur, Brooklyn Museum, Cultured Magazine, Kanon: K21, Frieze, Creative Review, Kaleidoscope Magazine, Everpress, B4 Sounds Records, Afropunk, and more.
